Seres

Had a nice meal at Seres, in the Pearl District.  Classic Szechuan and multi-regional Chinese restaurant, with a strong emphasis on sustainability.  Inside, the ceiling towers high above with a clean, open, industrial loft feel.  Nice windows with lots of street side people watching.  Had the hot and sour soup and loved it.  It was so good.  But on an empty stomach, it was almost too spicy, and that is saying a lot coming from me.  I had to drink three glasses of water to keep from hiccupping!  Shared two main dishes with a lunch mate: Chicken and String Beans, and Mongolian Beef.  Both were fresh and tasty and well cooked.  Nice Friday lunch!
