Had lunch at SILK today, in Portland. Started out with Gỏi Cuốn (salad rolls). Pork, shrimp, lettuce, bean sprouts, mint and vermicelli noodles rolled in rice paper. Served with peanut sauce. My entrée was incredible. Had Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese Crispy Crepe). Rice flour crepe with tumeric filled with pork, shrimp, bean sprouts, onions and mung beans. Served with lettuce, mint, cilantro and a side of nuoc mam. It was huge and full of greens and spices. Really a delicate dish, with many flavors, but hard to eat.
