SILK

SILK again my friends.  I should by stock.  Had the Chả Giò for an appetizer, which is minced shrimp, pork and glass noodles in a crispy rice paper shell, served with nuoc mam.   My entrée was the Gà Xào Gừng, chicken sautéed in a chili garlic sauce, green beans and fresh ginger, served with jasmine…

SILK

The infamous beef-bowl, and some delicious pork meatballs.  Plus a little bit of hot sauce so my mouth is on fire.  Yum.

Acadia

Fun lunch today at the Wednesdays-only Acadia: A New Orleans Bistro.  Started with the Pork rillettes, Dijon and grilled bread.  My entrée was the Shrimp Creole with spinach and popcorn rice. Lots of Tabasco.  Very good!  Want to come here for dinner when the music is hopping and some wine is pouring.

Ping

Had the lunch special at Ping today, Oh My.  Something special here folks!  Singapore Chili Crab.  Dungeness Crab stir fried in crab oil with sweet spicy chilies and farm eggs.  Unreal flavors, and messy as hell.  I want more!  Soooo good!

SILK

Ate at SILK today and enjoyed some great food.  Had the barbecued baby back ribs with a honey hoisin glaze; the salad rolls with pork, shrimp, lettuce, bean sprouts, mint and vermicelli noodles rolled in rice paper; and the ginger chicken sautéed in a chili garlic sauce, green beans and fresh ginger.

Slabtown

Slabtown Ribs & BBQ, on Vaughn Street.  Had the triple play special of sliders today, and awesome baked beans.  Lots of choices, always good stuff!
